Welcome to Progressive Temple Beth Ahavath Sholom
Our mission is in accordance with the faith of Judaism: to cultivate a love and understanding of Jewish Heritage; to stimulate friendship; and to strengthen the bonds of loyalty with Israel and all Jewish people by bringing near the love of G-d through an emphasis of principles of righteousness and humanity.

Members are drawn from all over Brooklyn and Staten Island. New members find their involvement in worship, committees, classes and other activities greeted with enthusiasm. Our lives have been enriched since joining PTBAS. We appreciate and foster diversity. Members include families with non-Jewish spouses, Jews by Choice, old and young, singles, and same-sex couples. Our members come from diverse backgrounds within Judaism. All find a spiritual home at PTBAS.

Dear Congregants,

Saturday, October 14 will be the last day that services will be held at PTBAS. Following Saturday morning services, lunch will be provided.

It is opened to all congregants, and will be catered by an outside vendor. To facilitate that things run smoothly and we have enough food to feed all who attend, could you please let the office know, no later than October 11?

Thank you,
Helene Smith
